Baby Dreams

Paul and I always knew we wanted a big family. From the time we started talking about a future together, children were always in the conversation. I come from a bigger family and we always knew we wanted our kiddos to have siblings to play with and had big plans for what our family would entail. It was never a question of whether we would have kids- but just how long after we got married we would start our family. That time came in January of 2011. We decided to start trying for a baby that spring and BAM! In mid- April we were pregnant after just one month. We were overjoyed. Unfortunately, it was not in God's plan for that baby to be ours and we miscarried at 9 weeks. You can read more about our angel baby Jackson here. It took quite some time to recover from our loss, but in January of 2012 we were blessed to get pregnant again! We treaded the waters slowly, but with each passing week our joy grew more and more. We felt so blessed by this sweet baby that even the many mornings spent running to the bathroom to be sick and the countless nights interrupted by heart burn were counted as a blessing. On September 29th, 2012, our lives changed forever as Henry Davis Atkinson entered our family! He is the most amazing little man- sweet, incredibly joyful, cheeks that don't quit, and a belly laugh that can brighten even the darkest day. I can already tell his heart is sweet and that we are blessed to be raising a wonderful and happy little boy. We pretty much are obsessed with him. You'll get to know him pretty well if you follow :)
